Terms of Service

TERMS OF SERVICE

The Agreement for Cleaning Services exists between the Website User (hereafter referred to as the “Client”, “you”, “yourself”) and Maid Blast District of Columbia / Maidblastfl.com (herein referred to as the “Company”) who acts as a referral agency for independent cleaning contractors within District of Columbia .

The Client is aware and acknowledges that no one under the age of 18 may use, book, or arrange the Company’s cleaning service. The Client also acknowledges that someone over the age of 18 must be on-site to allow the cleaner to enter the Client’s home.

The Company’s Website, Maidblastfl.com, connects Clients (like yourself) looking for residential cleaning services. The services provided by the Company to the Client is “residential cleaning services” that are described on the Company’s website, Maidblastfl.com, and includes a detailed list in the “Services” section of the website that states the type of service provided by the Company.

Registering on the Website

Clients, and cleaners may create profiles on the Company’s website, Maidblastfl.com. In order to do so, you must create a Username and Password. It is the responsibility of the Client to protect the integrity of their Username and Password. The client holds sole responsibility for their Username and Password associated with this account, and if it is breached, they are to contact Maid Blast District of Columbia immediately to disable the account and re-register.

Credentials. The information used in your profile is used to dispatch the cleaner to your residence, therefore the information must be accurate. By creating a profile on the Company’s site, you are providing complete and accurate information.

Information Delivery. The Company bears no responsibility for the failure to disseminate information to a profile with incomplete information. If a Client misses an appointment, and is charged, no refund will be issued if the information provided by the Client in incorrect in the profile.

Booking a Service Request

By booking a cleaning Service Request on the Company’s website, Maidblastfl.com or via the company’s local or 1-800 telephone numbers, the Client is agreeing to the Service Agreement and Terms and Conditions provided by the Company.

For the purposes of this Agreement, “Verification of the Agreement” consists of the Client electing to use the Company’s website, Maidblastfl.com, and then agreeing to the Service Agreement by “checking a compliance box” prior to making a purchase on the Company’s Website, Maidblastfl.com.  “Verification of Agreement” to the Service Agreement and the Terms and Conditions occurs when the Client “agrees or disagrees” by clicking a “check box” that appears on the Company’s Website, Maidblastfl.com, prior to the Client confirming their online cleaning purchase and scheduling. The “checked box” confirms the Client’s agreement with the Service Agreement and Terms and Condition of the Company.

During the “Verification of the Agreement” process, the Client has the opportunity to Review the Service Agreement or Terms and Conditions by clicking on the highlighted link that will take the Client to a dedicated page for each terms including, a “dedicated page for the Service Agreement” and a “dedicated page for the Terms and Conditions”. In the event of a technical error, the Client may elect to contact the Company and request a digital version of either the Service Agreement or the Terms and Conditions in order to review prior to confirming their purchase on the Company’s website, Maidblastfl.com.

The “verification of agreement” is presented to the Client prior to making their purchasing and scheduling their cleaning by way of a “check box” that, when checked, confirms the Client’s agreement with the service agreement and terms and conditions of the Company

Processing Charges

The Company employs the use of a Secure third-party payment processor in order to process online payments made by Visa, MasterCard, Debit, American Express, and e-Transfer. The Client is responsible for all associated, taxes and fees associated with the value of their Service Request.

By inputting your information into the Service Request booking system, you are consenting to the preauthorization of reoccurring billing of your credit card / payment method for services entered under “Bi-Weekly”, “Monthly” or “Weekly” services. The service exempt from reoccurring billing is “One-Time” service or services implicitly instructed by the Client to only “bill once” prior to committing to ongoing service.

Upon the invalidation of your chosen method of payment, you consent to provide the Company with updated payment information.

Services

Services provided by the cleaner include (but are not limited to) kitchen cleaning (floor and surfaces); bathroom cleaning (toilets, bathtubs, showers, and surfaces); bedroom cleaning (floor, surfaces and tidying); vacuuming of carpets, dusting, polishing of furniture, cleaning of appliances, and fixtures; other areas, as requested and added to work orders.

The Company will attempt to remedy and services that fail to meet the standards of the Client.

 

Materials Provided by Customer

The Client agrees to provide all required cleaning materials for the cleaner to use on site, unless disclosed in the Service Request. If the Client fails to produce these cleaning materials, then a charge of $10 will be applicable to their receipt.

Employment & Background Checks

The cleaners employed by the Company are “independent contractors” and work both exclusively and non-exclusively for the Company. The Company conducts background checks and interviews for each cleaner / independent contractor prior to contracting their services. The Company requires that either the cleaner / independent contractor provide a recent background check, or that the company will provide a background check on behalf of the cleaner / independent contractor. The Company cannot guarantee the accuracy of a background check; furthermore, a background check does not predict future behavior. When utilizing the service of a cleaner (or any company) the Client should exercise caution to protect and maintain the personal property and safety of both the Client and anyone else residing or visiting the household. Clients should exercise common sense in the direction, interaction and supervision of an outside cleaner / contractor in their home.

For example – if a contractor arrives to repair a leaky faucet, you are going to show the contractor to the affected area, provide direction, and periodically check on the contractor to ensure the job is completed to your satisfaction. The same premise applies with on-site cleaners, the Client should state their expectation, and periodically verify that the cleaner is completing the task to the Client’s requirements.

The Client agrees that the Client’s purchase of cleaning services will occur only on the Company’s Website, Maidblastfl.com, and no payments (aside from optional gratuities) will be made to the cleaning contractor or any other third-party claiming to be affiliated with the Company. The Client agrees that no cleaning service will commence until a payment has been secured via the Company’s Website.

When the Client completes and pays for a cleaning service on the Company’s website, Maidblastfl.com, the Client does so via their selected method of payment (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, eTransfer, etc.) The Company facilitates the completion of the transaction via a third-party software service designed to securely collect the Client’s payment information and process the transaction in a safe and secure manner. Charges incurred for cleaning jobs are non-refundable and will be charged in accordance with the Company’s billing practices.

Text and Email Messages

Upon signing up for the Company’s service you will be required to provide valid email and telephone information. This information will be used to confirm your appointment. These methods of communication are required in order to ensure the efficiency of everyone involved in the process including the Company, the Cleaner and the Client. The company is not liable for any charges incurred as a result of text messages, phoning or emailing the Client with regards to service information.

Client Suggestions / Feedback

Clients may provide the Company with suggestions to improve upon delivered services. Client suggestions may be used by the Company to improve cleaning Services and in providing suggestions you grant the company a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license, with the right to sub-license to franchisees without reference to the source.   The Company will be entitled to use the feedback for any purpose without restriction or renumeration of any kind with respect to the Client or his or her representatives.

Contact

The Client agrees that all questions, concerns or complaints will filter through the Company’s Website via their contact email address info@maidblastdc.com . The Client agrees to allow the Company to remedy any perceived errors in service prior to seeking a refund. The Client is responsible for all provincial, state, and associated taxes for services provided by the Company.
